Our Vision

The HAIstory portal presents current domestic and global events through the lens of historical contexts that often go unnoticed in mainstream news coverage. We believe that many of today’s political decisions, conflicts, social changes, and economic, social, and cultural trends cannot be understood without knowing their roots in the past. That is why we link current news to the historical facts, events, and developments that have shaped today’s world

Our goal is not only to inform readers about what is happening right now, but also to help them understand why it is happening. Each article (essay) strives to offer a broader perspective, explain the context, and provide a deeper understanding of the issues affecting society today. We provide content for people who want to reflect on events in a broader context and are looking for more than just quick headlines.

We combine journalism, history, and analytical insight into a single space where the past helps explain the present. Because today did not come about by chance—it is the result of events, decisions, and stories that were written long before us.

How We Work

HAIstory has set an ambitious goal: to use AI technologies to produce articles (essays). We’re not exaggerating when we say we’re unique in this regard. Our portal is truly a pilot project that has no parallel in the media landscape in Slovakia. How do we work?

HAIstory uses a standard AI module to create articles (essays), but a specially created multi-agent system called Agent Jack, which can independently gather relevant information and, based on that—without making up nonsense—compile and self-check a professional article, including citations of original sources.

In addition to AI technologies, the essays are also checked by a “human eye” for grammar, style, interpretation, and source accuracy. However, no one is perfect, not even AI, which is why you, too, can be part of this story. Do you find an error or inconsistency in the text? Report the error to us with a single click. We are open to criticism, which we do not take personally but as a challenge to improve.

We strive to responsibly harness the potential of artificial intelligence in the creation of media and historical content. We believe that AI can be a useful tool for processing large amounts of information, finding connections, and making specialized topics accessible to a wider audience. At the same time, we are also aware of its limitations and risks—particularly the potential for misuse to manipulate, spread inaccuracies, or create information chaos. That is why we rely on a combination of technology, source transparency, and human oversight. HAIstory was created with the goal of demonstrating that modern technologies can serve not only speed but also quality, critical thinking, and a better understanding of social and historical topics.

Who we are

Juraj is an experienced software engineer and solution architect with more than 17 years of experience in the design and development of robust enterprise systems, scalable cloud solutions, and modern web applications. Throughout his career, he has successfully designed and delivered complex software architectures for international technology leaders as well as critical projects in the healthcare, fintech, logistics, and public sectors. As a co-founder of the haistory.eu project, he is responsible for its overall technological architecture and system implementation. His primary technological passion on the project is the integration of autonomous generative AI systems (GenAI Agentic Systems). At haistory.eu, he designed and implemented intelligent orchestration of agents that autonomously and efficiently handle research, creation, validation, and seamless publication of content.

Lukáš Krajčír, M.A., Ph.D., works at the Institute of History of the Slovak Academy of Sciences. His research focuses on the cultural and social history of Slovakia from 1918 to 1948, the activities of male and female philanthropists, the history of socially oriented associations and organizations, as well as religious, economic, and other interest groups with a charitable dimension (e.g., YMCA, YWCA, Matica slovenská) operating in Slovakia.

Adam Rada, M.A., Ph.D., graduated with a degree in history from the Faculty of Philosophy at Comenius University in Bratislava. In 2018, he defended his dissertation on the topic “Praetorian Prefects during the Reign of the Julio-Claudian Dynasty: Questions of Origin and Influence.” In his popular science articles, he focuses on the ancient world, primarily the history of Rome, but also that of Greece and the Hellenistic world.
